This is a report for the first week of the After-School Reading Program. We screened all 45 kids in the 3 libraries. They took turns reading the evaluation texts, and based on that, we grouped them into low and advanced readers. Most of the kids who showed interest in the program this month were pupils from Classes 4, 5, 6 and Form 1. A major problem was lateness as kids did not show up in the libraries on the stipulated time. All the same, the screening was successful, and we are ready to begin the second month of the reading program.
