Mothers and daughters in Boni Library, Burkina Faso

The libraries in Boni and Dimikuy are testing grounds for improving perception of the library by adult women in the villages... so we are trying a number of programs to get them to come with their daughters.  It is easy to daydream about schoolchildren reading to their non-literate parents, who beam with pride, and maybe learn to read themselves.  Reality is far messier and harder.  We will keep you posted on what kinds of programs work, at low cost (anybody can do anything with $600 per person, right Millennium Village Project?)
